BPC-157 and TB-500 are two unrelated research peptides: BPC-157 is a 15-residue synthetic sequence, while TB-500 is the acetylated seven-residue fragment Ac-LKKTETQ taken from thymosin β4. For a lab buying in volume, the 10mg BPC-157 vial works out cheaper per milligram than the 10mg TB-500 vial ($9.60 against $10.60 at list), the 20mg blend is cheaper than either at $8.45/mg, and every one of them drops by 35% once the cart holds ten vials in any combination.
This page is written for whoever signs the purchase order. It sets the two compounds side by side, prices them at each step of the volume ladder, and shows how to combine both in one order. The chemistry is covered in depth in our separate articles, linked where they apply.
Cost per milligram at each volume tier
Every figure below is the vial price divided by its label milligrams, then multiplied by the tier factor (0.95, 0.85, 0.75 or 0.65). The tier is decided by the total number of vials in the cart, not by how many of one product you pick.
| Vial (CAD list price) | 1 vial | 2–3 (−5%) | 4–6 (−15%) | 7–9 (−25%) | 10+ (−35%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| BPC-157 5mg ($60.99 ÷ 5) | $12.20 | $11.59 | $10.37 | $9.15 | $7.93 |
| BPC-157 10mg ($95.99 ÷ 10) | $9.60 | $9.12 | $8.16 | $7.20 | $6.24 |
| TB-500 5mg ($82.99 ÷ 5) | $16.60 | $15.77 | $14.11 | $12.45 | $10.79 |
| TB-500 10mg ($105.99 ÷ 10) | $10.60 | $10.07 | $9.01 | $7.95 | $6.89 |
| Blend 10mg, 5+5 ($90.99 ÷ 10) | $9.10 | $8.64 | $7.73 | $6.82 | $5.91 |
| Blend 20mg, 10+10 ($168.99 ÷ 20) | $8.45 | $8.03 | $7.18 | $6.34 | $5.49 |
Two patterns stand out. First, the 5mg TB-500 vial is the most expensive way to buy either compound, so it only earns its place when a small pilot is all you need. Second, the gap between the 5mg and 10mg formats (roughly $2.60 per mg for BPC-157 and $6 per mg for TB-500 at list) is larger than the gap between neighbouring discount tiers, so choosing the bigger vial often saves more than adding a few more vials to the order.

Reaching a tier by mixing both compounds
Because the ladder counts vials across the whole cart, a lab that needs both peptides should buy them together. A worked example with the 10mg vials:
- Five BPC-157 10mg plus five TB-500 10mg is ten vials. List total $1,009.90; at 35% off the cart comes to about $656.44, or $6.56 for each of the 100 label milligrams.
- The same vials split into two orders of five each land in the 4–6 tier: $407.96 plus $450.46, a total of $858.42. Consolidating saves about $202.
- A smaller mixed order, four BPC-157 and three TB-500, reaches the 7–9 tier: $701.93 at list, about $526.45 after 25%.
Any of these orders also clears the $200 free-shipping threshold, so the tier saving is not eaten by freight. If the combined requirement runs past a few cases, a custom quote replaces the ladder; see wholesale supply.
Buying by the mole instead of the milligram
TB-500 is the lighter molecule, so each milligram contains more molecules than a milligram of BPC-157. If an experiment compares the two at equal molar concentration, the cheaper compound changes. At list price the 10mg TB-500 vial costs about $9.42 per micromole against about $13.63 for 10mg BPC-157; at the 10+ tier those become roughly $6.12 and $8.86. Label mass is gross weight, so for real stock calculations use the net peptide content on the certificate (why net content differs from label mass) and the molarity calculator.
Identity checks that differ between the two
A buyer receiving both compounds should expect different analytical pictures. BPC-157 carries a run of three prolines near its N-terminus and a fourth at position 8; cis/trans isomerism about those proline bonds can widen or split its HPLC peak, which is covered in proline peak broadening in BPC-157. For TB-500 the key check is simply that the mass matches the seven-residue acetylated fragment and not full-length thymosin β4; the naming confusion is unpicked in thymosin beta-4 versus the TB-500 fragment.
In a blend both species sit in one chromatogram, so the purity figure has to be read as a two-component result; the blend composition article explains how. Products are third-party tested by HPLC and purity testing, at 99%+ purity, and certificates for some products are posted on the COAs page. Vials match their certificate by cap and crimp colour.
What published work examines for each
Published BPC-157 work is mostly preclinical. At cell level, papers have looked at fibroblast and endothelial cell migration and at signalling components such as FAK–paxillin and VEGFR2; the limits of that literature are discussed separately. The LKKTET motif that TB-500 is built around is the actin-binding region of thymosin β4, so in-vitro studies with the fragment tend to centre on G-actin interaction and cell migration assays. None of this establishes any effect outside a laboratory model.
Which format fits which piece of work
- Method development: one 5mg vial of each compound. You pay the highest per-mg figure, but you are not committing to stock before the assay conditions are fixed. Two vials already earn 5%.
- A full run on a single compound: the 10mg singles, bought in one order so the whole series comes from the same delivery.
- A design that always uses both at 1:1 by mass: the 20mg blend is the lowest-cost route at every tier, but the ratio is fixed. If you need to vary one compound independently, or run each alone as a control, buy singles.
- Controls plus combination: a mixed cart of singles and blend vials counts toward one tier.
Holding a multi-vial order
A large order is only good value if every vial is still usable when you reach it. Keep lyophilised vials sealed and cold until needed, and reconstitute only what the next block of work consumes; see storage and stability of freeze-dried peptides. Record the batch shown on the certificate the day the box arrives and quote it on any top-up order so we can check whether matching stock remains.
Questions buyers ask
Is BPC-157 or TB-500 cheaper in bulk?
Per milligram, BPC-157 10mg is cheaper at every tier ($6.24 against $6.89 at 10+). Per micromole the order reverses, because TB-500 has the lower molar mass.
Do BPC-157 and TB-500 vials count together toward the discount?
Yes. The ladder counts all vials in the cart, so five of each reaches the 35% tier.
Is the blend just the two singles in one vial?
It contains both peptides at a fixed 1:1 mass ratio (5+5 or 10+10). It cannot be separated into its components, so it does not replace singles for single-compound controls.
Is TB-500 the same as thymosin beta-4?
No. It is a seven-residue acetylated fragment with a molar mass of 889.0 g/mol, far smaller than the full protein.
Where do I start for an order larger than a few cases?
