Certificates of analysis for our compounds are posted on this page as the independent laboratory issues them. The first four are going up now, and more follow as testing comes back. If the certificate you need is not here yet, contact the order desk and we will tell you where it stands.
What one of our certificates shows
- The compound and its strength, exactly as printed on the vial label.
- The laboratory that ran the test. Testing is done outside our building, by a third party with no stake in the result.
- HPLC and purity results. Our specification is 99%+ and results typically land between 99.7% and 99.9%.
- The method and conditions used for the run, so the figure can be read in context rather than taken on trust.
- The cap and crimp colour of the vials the certificate covers, which is how you match it to what is on your bench.
Matching a vial to its certificate
Our vials do not carry a printed batch number. Instead, each certificate records the cap and crimp colour of the vials it describes. When a delivery arrives, note the compound, the strength and the colour of the cap and crimp, then find the certificate on this page with the same three details. Keep that record with your lab notes so the material in a later experiment can be traced back to the same result.
Reading the purity figure
An HPLC purity result is the share of the total detected signal that sits in the main peak. A figure of 99.8% means the target compound accounts for 99.8% of what the method could see; it is not a statement about water or counter-ion content, which is why net peptide content is a separate measurement. Read the conditions line before comparing two certificates: a different column, gradient or wavelength can move a result by a few tenths without either laboratory being wrong. Our peptide glossary defines the terms you will meet on a certificate.
When a certificate is not posted yet
Certificates are added as results come back, so there will be times when a compound is in stock before its certificate is on this page. Write to the order desk with the compound and strength and we will tell you when it will be posted. We do not send partial results or summaries in place of the laboratory’s own document.
If you want to test it yourself
You are welcome to send our material to a laboratory of your choice. If an independent result shows a vial below our 99%+ specification, the purity guarantee sets out how we put it right. Canadian labs can order the same compounds in volume through our quantity breaks, which run to 35% off at ten vials in one order, in any mix of products.
Research use only
Certificates describe the analytical identity and purity of laboratory reference material. They are not a statement that any product is fit for use in people or animals, and nothing on this page should be read that way.
