Description
A gram of NAD+ is a working stock, not a sample. This fill suits labs that use the coenzyme as a routine reagent in dehydrogenase, sirtuin or PARP assays.
NAD+ 1000 mg for assay-scale work
Because NAD+ is used at millimolar concentrations in many enzyme assays, consumption adds up faster than it does for signalling peptides used at nanomolar levels. One large vial avoids mixing lots partway through a study, and keeps the cost per milligram at its lowest.
The reduced form, NADH, has a distinct absorbance peak at 340 nm that NAD+ lacks, so spectrophotometry offers a quick check that material has not been reduced during handling. For longer-term storage, keep the solid frozen and dry and make up solutions fresh or in frozen single-use portions.

Questions about NAD+ 1000mg
How can I check NAD+ has not been reduced?
NADH absorbs at 340 nm; NAD+ does not. A clean 260/340 profile is consistent with the oxidised form.
Does NAD+ need to be frozen?
Freezing the dry solid is the safest long-term option. Protect it from moisture above all.
Do quantity breaks apply to NAD+?
Yes, on the same ladder as the peptides: 5% off from two vials, 35% off from ten.

Literature notes: These studies concern NAD+ precursors (nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide) rather than NAD+ administered directly.
