Description
Ipamorelin is small, synthetic and built largely from non-standard residues. Those choices are what give it its reputation for selectivity at the ghrelin receptor.
Ipamorelin 5 mg, a selective GHS-R1a agonist
Its five residues include aminoisobutyric acid, D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine, none of which occur in ordinary proteins. They make the peptide resistant to many proteases and shape it to fit the growth hormone secretagogue receptor. In the original characterisation, ipamorelin stimulated growth hormone release in animal models without the rise in ACTH or cortisol seen with earlier secretagogues, and that selectivity is still the reason it is chosen as a receptor tool.
The 5 mg vial covers receptor-binding and signalling assays at typical working concentrations with room to spare. For labs pairing it with a GHRH-receptor agonist, the CJC-1295 blend is also available.

Questions about Ipamorelin 5mg
What receptor does ipamorelin act on?
The growth hormone secretagogue receptor, GHS-R1a, which is also the receptor for ghrelin.
Why is the sequence written with Aib and D-2-Nal?
Those are non-proteinogenic residues: aminoisobutyric acid and the D-isomer of 2-naphthylalanine. They are part of the defined structure, not impurities.
Is there a larger vial?
Yes, ipamorelin is also stocked at 10 mg, which lowers the cost per milligram.
